So you know a little salsa. A girl’s turn, a guy’s turn and some pouting. But are you ready to learn some of the sexier moves that make salsa the world’s most popular partner dance? Come on down this Wednesday (even the rugby won’t stop us!) and we’ll show you some moves that will be sure to impress.

Thank you, Amy and Peter, for a swingin’ Lindy Hop lesson last week. We were all impressed by how quickly almost all of you picked it up. But if you found yourself scratching your head wondering what on earth a triple step is, you’re not alone because Lindy is one of the toughest partner dances you can learn. Well done to everyone!

EVENT. After a very successful picnic two weeks ago, we can’t wait for our last movie night of the semester. As you might know, movie nights are all about chillaxing, watching a corny dance movie and eating plenty of popcorn. This Friday night, May 27th, at 6:30pm in the Science Learning Centre.

END OF SEMESTER DANCE PARTY.

Pull on your dance shoes (or any shoes really, minus stilettos) and get ready to party! And the best part, it’s indoor! Join us in the Holt Room (right next to the Pizza Caffe) on the last Friday before swotvac, June 3rd, for our final event of the semester, and help us go out with a bang! Time TBA.

Two weeks to go, two Wednesdays left and two events to look forward to. Ever been gladder to be a UQ Dancer?
